come on Argos, Explain yourselves!

Click on the image below to see a copy of an email Ive sent to Argos regarding the price difference between Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. As soon as I receive a reply I will post it here.

Update Tuesday 10th March.
Here is the reply I received from Argos:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your e-mail.

Prices in our Republic of Ireland catalogue are based on a number of factors, of which the exchange rates at the time of going to print is one. All prices are inclusive of taxes. The price of items may change during the six month life of the catalogue to reflect promotions and offers but will not fluctuate in line with the exchange rates.

Sorry for any disappointment caused.

Should you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us at order.enquiries@argos.co.uk or call us on 0845 640 3030.

Regards,

Summer Harris

Well...Im not impressed at all with that reply. There they go trotting out the same old line - exchange rates at time of going to print. Load of sh-ite. Though when I heard on the radio this morning that social welfare payment in Northern Ireland are only one quarter of social welfare payments in the republic I realised that the truth of the matter is this: prices reflect customers willingness and ability to pay them.
