My new neighbours

Thursday 26th.
A horrible magpie got at the nest yesterday and took the poor little chicks (and most of the nest as well). The robins flew towards the nest with food later but wouldnt go in for some time. Eventually one approached the nest and looked in. Aww. I reckon Im going to buy some nesting boxes.


Ive been watching a pair of robins who've made a cosy home in the ivy outside my back door.

They are back and forth to the nest with tasty titbits for their new babies. I would have liked to get a clear shot of them flying out of the nest but this blurry image is the best I could manage
